The Artist
Yovanna Marie is a multidisciplinary creator whose life has moved across art, culture, entrepreneurship, hospitality, wellness, and transformation. Painting is where all of it converges.
Her original abstract work explores emotion, intuition, connection, identity, energy, movement, and transformation through a deeply personal relationship with color.
The Creative Journey
Each work begins intuitively — color, movement, and texture arriving before language does. Many pieces are painted in a single sitting, in real time with the energy of a day, a moon phase, a memory, or a person.
The result is a body of work that reads less like a catalogue and more like a journal of transformation.
The Philosophy
Abstraction offers a space where emotion, intuition, memory, color, movement, culture, identity, and transformation can exist without requiring literal interpretation.
Each work is created as an individual expression — inviting the viewer to feel, interpret, connect, and discover their own meaning within the piece.
Cultural Roots & Identity
Heritage, travel, family, and ancestral memory move through the work as color, rhythm, and symbol rather than literal image — a visual echo of how experience and the past continue to shape the present.
Art & Transformation
Lunar cycles, feminine energy, gratitude, release, and becoming return again and again across the canvases. The paintings are imprints of change: what is ready to be released, and what is ready to rise.
Artist & Curator
Yovanna Marie's relationship with art extends beyond her own studio practice. As Founder of the former CHIMOLE® Art Gallery & Wine Tapas Bar in historic downtown Leesburg, Virginia, she created a cultural space that brought together fine art, Latin American heritage, cuisine, music, cultural experiences, and community.
Through CHIMOLE®, Yovanna developed relationships with artists and presented works that reflected the richness and diversity of Latin American and international artistic expression.
Yovanna Marie Fine Art is preserving that chapter as the foundation for a developing curated collection of selected works by other artists alongside Yovanna's own contemporary abstract work.
Her approach to curation is deeply personal: selecting art not simply for decoration, but for its ability to communicate a story, preserve culture, evoke emotion, and create connection.
